I have a '99 with the factory rear locker and the CDL. I would like to run in low range without the CDL engaged, but it automatically engages in low. Is there a way to use the dash switch to turn CDL on and off with the switch while in low?

Never replaced the serpentine belt myself... Anyone have a good thread on this? I'm curious how to loosen the tension... Just loosen the left hand screw bolt the diagram on the hood points to?... Will it come all the way out if I keep turning it?... I've loosened it, but no tension released on...

My driver seat is cracked in my '99, I was going to look into replacing the front seats this winter. Did you go thru a dealer for the leather?... or is there a better source? Was this a do it yourself job?

I've run bfg a/t's, revos, hankooks, and toyo's on two vehicles, including an 80 series. I currently run duratracs on my 100. The revo or the toyo would be a great choice for you. They are great in any weather condition, and still decent off-road. I'm completely sold on my duratracs though...

I had a similar issue with my '99... can't say what your issue is for sure until you pull codes, but mine was a bad throttle assembly. Your truck is just de-tunning itself to a "limp back" mode when the code is thrown. If it is a throttle problem, just hope its the throttle position sensor...

Anyone install a winch behind the factory bumper?... will a 12k fit? Any major cons to doing this without a bumper?... not looking for using it for serious wheeling, but want one for recovery if I get stuck in the snow. Thoughts?

Definitely starter. I had the exact same symptoms as you... I also replaced the battery first and it was good for a couple days, then wouldn't start again. The fresh battery worked on the weak starter contacts for a couple days until they totally failed. Had the starter rebuilt and has worked...
