I feel your pain, brother. I went with Method 301s 17X9X6.5 -12 with Goodyear Territory MT 315/70/17 on 4" lift. It clears and doesn't rub; however, I only have about 100 miles on it and they've all been around town and haven't articulated crazy...
There is no “preaching to the choir” here as the guys who know….know. BUT, @Jdc did my disk brake conversion a few weeks ago and it has made such an amazing difference to the use of my truck with the driving experience here in New Jersey...
Bought a new toy, I mean tool. This ultrasonic cleaner is life changing. Ha!
The springs turned out great. Tons of small parts to do. Easy peasy now!
Added the new gear shift instructions plate, knob and retaining wire to the refreshed...
Changed the oil, checked that the air injection system was functioning properly, made sure all vacuum lines were connected where they are supposed to be, and then took my '80 in for the dreaded CA smog check. It passed! I sweat bullets every...
Carried yesterdays momentum into another 4+ install today. I ordered this a year ago when Dave was publicly discussing closing shop. Part of the deal with the full width one i recently picked up was i traded the OEM carrier off my ‘70, so with...
2 years ago, my transfer case indicator switch crumbled to pieces when I was ripping out my harness. I tried repairing mine and even bought a broken one off of someone to repair it, but working with epoxy ismt my forte.
@ToyotaMatt now has a...
I’ve somehow missed keeping up with this lately…….. Such an awesome place to live - Congratulations, I’m sure the time it took to get this completed was well worth it!
Realized it was time for another update, but some major things have happened:
Had to wait a week or so since the last few posts for an HVAC professional friend to come by and blow out my lines, pressure test them, and vacuum down the system for...
Work on the house progresses; flooring is finished all the way down the back hallway and started in the family room. baseboards in those areas. Got six more interior doors hung and trimmed out. I'll post photos after the nail holes are filled...
Still working every day in the house. Completely finished the first water heater, got the pipes insulated, it's working well.

Work on the house continues; painting doors and door frames, baseboards, etc. We did get all of the counter tops in and all sinks and faucets installed last week. I converted the Wolf gas range from natural gas to Propane, and it is hooked up...
@1911 reading about your wall map and you say “ ; it's a commercial product, a producing zone map of the Permian Basin.”. No clue about this Permian Basin ( hell, I’m in NJ) so, I looked it up…very cool to know
My wife and I re-watching...
The fireplace finished. I would not want to be a stone mason for a living! The mrs. picked out that 8-1/2' slab of mesquite for a mantle. It has a very "live" edge on the front with a unique shape; I had to cut and trim the stone very...
A fair amount has happened in a couple of weeks. The flooring is completely finished everywhere, still working on the baseboards and under-cabinet trim however.
I’ve been methodically working on the central heat pump installation, and it’s...
Been quite a while since i did anything 40 related. FB marketplace yielded a couple of solid scores over the past few months finding a 4+ front with basically new 8274, and a 4+ full width rear swingout. The new to me front has some patina, so...
All buttoned up - ended up welding the ball-joint since there was already a v-band for the 2.5" downpipe I had prior. Nice and tidy, and now it's only the header gasket and the v-band for the whole exhaust...a nice cleanup from all the possible...
