Friday was a holiday here so we decided to head to the beach with the entire fanily for the long weekend. On the way home we visited the Zoo in Subic Bay
The one I am using is the mini VCI one that I bought way back in 2013. Currently installed on a Windows 11 64 bit laptop running Techstream v17. Works on my family’s Toyotas… 2010 Hiace, 2011 LC200, 2013 86, 2014 Corolla, 2017 LC200, 2018 Alphard and even my 2002 LX470
Went to an RC race 2 hours away. Had a great time, made new friends and won first place too. Afterwards we checked into a villa nearby for some R&R with the family.
Moved the Thule Motion XT XL roof box from my 200 to the LX470 and removed the third row seats. I’ll be driving my visiting relatives to the airport tomorrow and we need the extra space for their luggage.
Weekend trip to the beach for my cousin’s wedding. The Thule roof box was better than I expected, no noise or vibration at highway speeds. I was worried about the flimsy factory crossbars but I didn’t encounter any issues. As you can see, our family loves Land Cruisers!
Bought a used Thule Motion XT XL from Facebook Marketplace for a road trip this weekend. I hate Facebook and haven’t used it in years but I’m glad I checked and was able to score this after searching for so long.
The SmartTap flasher on my LX470 also failed. The passenger side bulbs no longer illuminate. Good thing it has a three year warranty. Right now I’m waiting for them to ship out the replacement. The SmartTap flasher relays on my 200 and Toyota 86 are still working great though.
Word of advice...
There is a way to disable the VSC by simply grounding a wire under the column.

Basically it tricks the ECU to thinking that the CDL is engaged (VSC is disabled when CDL is switched on). I did it because my LX470 was also...
I’ve had my OEM visors for three years now, they are still like new, even the clips. They are totally worth it especially now that I’ve been spending a lot of time waiting in the car due to the wife being pregnant and having to drive her to the doctor every week (due to the pandemic I don’t go...
