I need no special tools to change bearings and seals, just hand tools and parts.

Hate the pressed rear wheel bearings. Has anyone replaced the rear axle with an 80 series axle?

Not Freudian. Slow to get up to speed and slow to stop. Kind of like a tank. So think more of a metaphor and less oxymoron. During one of the Houston floods I had water over the hood and ~4-6 inches up the windshield. Didn't even hiccup, just keep plowing through the water. Got me home safe.

Had an 80 the brakes were on par with the available power. Both were unimpressive. Thing was an unstoppable tank.

Yes, I was serious. Upgrading with these aftermarket kits are cost prohibitive. I knew the Tacoma was a stretch. Is there any place that would have detailed information on the differences between the 100 and 200 series front end?

I am wanting to upgrade the brakes on my LC. Was wondering if anyone has ever upgraded to the 200 series LC, Tundra or Tacoma knuckles so that those brake systems can be used.
