Installed the cabin air filter retro-fit kit from @cruiserpatch. Great complete kit. Just a bit gross in there. I'll never understand why they didn't put the filters on every one of them sent to the US market. New engine air filter too.
New engine and cabin air filters. Then did a little "manscaping" on the engine bay covering. I feel so much better! Now I just need to give it a good cleaning under the hood. The multi-tool was the perfect tool for the job on the trimming. Quick and nice and neat.
Me and my assistant had to make a few modifications to make my spare 275/70/18 fit. The hitch I have ended up being a catch 22. When I got it, it was the one that tucked up closet to the bumper, didn't hang down and looked the cleanest. But, it took up enough room it caused this new spare to be...
Installed 1" BORA spacers. Had to mildly clearance the stock wheels for the spacers to fit and then got new tires. Ended up with 275/60/R20 Milestar Patagonia X/Ts which spec out at 33". Originally attempted 275/65/20 which are a little over 34" and the rubbing was just too bad. I tried some...
Installed the Milestar Patagonia X/T 275/70/18 today and I have 1" BORA spacers as well. The manufacturer specs it at 33.4" and it fills out the wheel wells about as perfect as I could have wanted. I have AHC and it's tuned maybe an inch higher than stock, if that.
One of the guys I work...
New shoes! Went with a tire I hadn't seen anyone put on an LC yet. After tons of research and reading reviews I decided to go with the Milestar Patagonia X/T in 275/70/18. Also installed 1" BORA spacers a couple days ago. So far I've only got about 20-25 miles on them but they are indescribably...
I've got the factory 18" wheels. They have cavities on the back the provide the relief needed.
Got these installed today. Been wanting to get my wheels out even with the fenders for a while.

Got new shoes scheduled to be installed this week.
Had some jewelry from Motorsport-Tech show up today. Fresh 1" BORA spacers. These things are really nice. Can't wait to get them put on this weekend. Got new shoes ordered to be put on Monday. Going from 285/65/18 K02s to 275/70/18 Milestar Patagonia X/Ts. I'll share before and after pics in a...
Anyone want to take a guess how many things need to be removed/moved to get the belt tensioner off? o_O
Overall it’s about a :banana: job and hopefully no more squealing!
Thinking about putting together a good tool roll to keep in my truck using the original FJ40 tool kits as a guide with a modern twist. That switchable JIS/Slotted driver looks like a perfect addition.
Thanks!
This was a big reason I wanted a Japanese brand that was made in Japan. McMaster Carr sells sets that appeared to be good quality. A bit set may be the next thing a get.
Didn't do anything with them yet, but bought some new tools. Who's familiar with JIS screwdrivers? All the years working on Japanese made vehicles and I feel like a complete idiot I wasn't aware of this before now...
Hey guys
I'm writing this as a PSA and what feels like a DUH moment for me. I've had my 100 since 2019 and my wife drives a 200 (LX570) we got in 2020. What's worse is I've had multiple Toyota vehicles prior to that and I had a Suzuki Samurai from the time I was about 17 up until just a few...
