I replaced the battery a month or so ago since it was dead. You are correct, it could be something else causing this sound. Someone on the internet mentioned it could be an antenna amplifier.

Where did you get an image of the wiring diagram? There is probably some other information that could be useful.

I need to pay closer attention while I'm driving since I'm not out of town when this issue has been a problem. I can go a couple of days driving in my town and the radio works just fine. Then all of a sudden I could be driving and I all of a sudden hear the hum sound and then the radio goes...

So it sounds like it will eventually get to a point where there is no more radio? I couldn't tell by the diagram the location??

Did you replace your FM antenna booster/ antenna unit? I'm thinking this could be the culprit?

Are you concerned with damaging the vent? I need somehting as well but it seems like there are several options. I like this one but I want to make sure.

It could be a "gremlin" since it randomly happened twice. Connection issue, moisture, something like that.

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking as you indicated there is only one way to fold the mirrors in/out and not by any automatic way. I believe s 2016 model on up this is an option.
