That is good to hear. I was not very kind to these tires. I was lax on rotations, did not include the spare and ran at lower pressures more often than I should have. I really do like these tires. They perform so well in the rocky/loose shale trails.
The mystery was circumvented and I got everything charging. Thanks to @alia176 and @Corbet for the help. The house battery charging on a cold engine finally stopped working altogether. This really helped as I was able to identify that the midi...
5 years and 25K miles later my set of G003 are mostly worn out. I’ve been really happy with them and having a new set put on tomorrow. They have had much more road noise the 3K miles. I could have gotten another 5K miles out of them if I did a 5...
Since I was dipping my toes into the whole “fridge/battery” thing, I was counting my pennies. The $75 SunSaver was much less expensive than the DC-DC charger with MPPT that I use now. The funny thing is I really don’t need solar much any more. My...
Realized it was time for another update, but some major things have happened:
Had to wait a week or so since the last few posts for an HVAC professional friend to come by and blow out my lines, pressure test them, and vacuum down the system for...
Don’t regret the PWM charge controller. That is what I used with my first solar set up and it worked great. I upgraded my system when I fell across a super deal. My first set up was only a solar generator. I’d run the fridge off the starting...
I have the ARB 47qt and love it. I had some second battery charging issues on a recent trip to SW Colorado. Over that week it took to get sorted it used about 50Ah over 7 full days set to 42ºF. Day time temps were cool except for the three days...
This is quite the bargain. I’ve wanted an awning for awhile, but couldn’t pull the trigger. For ~$400 I can damn well put up with it needing poles. First trip went great. It handled some severe monsoon rain/wind. It is very light and I can mount...
Last update for today is that I got the bum torn down. I will be installing an Avid Offroad rear bumper on the ole girl, so the factory tow hitch and tire hoist gotta go.
Funny to think that this is the hottest day thus this year at 109...
TL;DR
Highway trip notice house battery wasn’t charging. At campsite a couple of hours later starting battery registering 12.86V with the car running or not. No charge light came on, but is on with all the other dash lights with the key set to...
