Well, I spent the past 7 days hiking and floating around Montana chasing fish with @rkymtnflyfisher We saw a lot of fish and other cool stuff, enjoyed the backcountry and time away from projects and work!!!!! I had an awesome time, got out...
i wonder if you could just squeeze it in a vice to square the crimp again. i bought one for @cruiseroutfit a few years ago. maybe check with them for a new one if “renewing” the crimp doesn’t work.
looks like the cable is in tack. just gotta...
so i ended up doing the budget thing for now. i have a set of 5 bolt split rims with 17.5 inch LT tires that i picked up brand new off some landcruisers from our local mine. $200 for 5. well they have the 5x150mm bolt pattern that i cannot get...
got the slave bracket modified and reds back in action!! it still my daily for now until i get my fj62 back from an engine rebuild (hoping in the next couple weeks now!!). after that we’ll park it and get down to work on getting it properly...
other issue have raised its ugly head so haven’t sorted the wipers yet. on my way home the other day my oil pressure suddenly dropped. pulled over and checked my oil level. as per most fj40s it leaks a little so it was a little low but i had oil...
i’ll have the standard 12v power outlet to start with. i’ll see how it does. if it has troubles then i’ll look at the anderson style plugs. they seem to be popular for fridges form the reading i’ve done so far
I'm using the official cord without a power end (only has the proprietary fridge power end) and I out Power poles on it. Been solid and working great! Check out my build thread for photos.
i’ll have to sort that out yet. i have a 12v outlet dedicated to a fridge/cooler in the back of my truck but will need to make sure thats up to snuff. i also have a small generator i haul to use when not in serviced sites. i do a mix of road trip...

i’m not saying i want matching wheels. i’m just saying if i change hubs i might as well go to a 6 lug and the tires for a 15 inch wheel are the same and i might as well have the same bolt pattern wheels lying around. id like to keep the wheels...
while i get that this route is done often i would rather go to a 6 lug hub to match the landcruiser and then have matching wheels but thats going to cost way more than a set of rubber for now. i also want to take time to research backpacking etc...
well seems like those uniroyals mentioned above are discontinued which it too bad. these wheels
are tough to find a proper tire for!! i want a chunky tire because it just looks right on these trailers. i can get a cooper discover stt pro in a...
