2x on the vac line. Not only will the distributor not advance properly, it looks like the vac port on your carb is open to atmosphere causing a vac leak. Mt trollhole carb has a cap on the port at the base towards the valve cover.
The tap went in smooth and the sert screwed in easily with red loctite.
I had to file down the alignment ring because the time-sert sat a little high. FelPro gasket on.
I just got my head back from a rebuild and while torquing it back down I stripped #14 which is up against the fire wall. After reading this thread, I decided to use a time-sert. I called the manufacturer and they do not offer a M13X1.75. So I decided to up-size the bolt to a M14x1.5 and use...
Online Toyota parts could find the bushings, but not the rocker shaft, which they said has been discontinued. The only place I could find the shaft is at $OR.

I am trying to decide on my best option. I could replace the rocker shaft part # 13901-60022 from Village Toyota Parts for $107 plus shipping to eliminate the 3 thousandths of wear and reuse my existing rocker bushings, or I could replace both the rocker shaft and the bushings (part #13801A)...

I brought the shaft to a local engine shop and he said it was marginal with about 3 thousandths wear.
He also measured the wear in the rocker bushings and got about 1 1/2 thousands wear.
The rocker faces were also worn. Hear is a shot.
I recently rebuilt my head and I am now looking at my rocker assembly. I am trying to decide weather to rebuild or not. The reason I took the head off was because I was getting significant valve noise. When the shop rebuilt the head they found a bent exhaust valve on #6.
Here are a few...
