Will newer knuckles from a 1993 Toyota fit a Fj40? I didn't see anything in the FAQ's. I did see on a manufactures website say they are. Thanks!

Any one know if I there is a Toyota rotor that will work with the Monte Carlo caliper for the rear axle? I'm going with the weld on bracket. I just don't want to machine rotors every time I do a brake service. 11.75 diameter and I believe 1.25 thick.

You think the 2x4 will eventually ruin the seal?

I believe it's only a coating. I don't know for sure. I would remove it with a wire wheel where I wanted to put my weld. Also I would only use .023 70series solid wire. Flux core wire is to hot.

On my 1967 FJ I saw these grooves on the axle tube. Are these worn or are they correct?

Cut out a patch panel with the same thickness. Then weld it in.

I could not get the 4x4 to work . So I don't know if it made any noise. I jacked up the front and tried to get the pinion to move by rotating the tires. Could not get it to move or the other tire to move in the opposite direction. I did not see any metal in the oil but it was thick. Should...
