I'd agree. Definitely was the right choice when I had an '05 sequoia with bags that failed. (I used land cruiser shocks/springs and called it a day for under $150. And lifted the front by 1.75)
I just figured that the GX crowd must have debated their options a bit harder since this could happen...
This is the only thread on mud about this? Insane. You'd think it would be a more popular talking point as they are half the price of the OEM replacements and likely easier than swapping over to coils.
I'm looking at GX460's and trying to see if buying a premium with air suspension could...
Can anyone ID these axles as aftermarket with specific reasoning? Seems like not all oem axles come with yellow clamps.
I’m assuming they are aftermarket, but the mechanic promises that they are oem. I’d like all the proof I can get.

Unless... one to maaaaybe two of these would work. They are so cheap I’m buying three. It’s adjustable which is fantastic. I assume it’s quite compact for the 1.5 mm cable it’s designed for.
Buy UrbanTrapeze 1.5 - Steel Cable Gripper / Tensioner (Adjustable)
Has nobody found a way around the issue?
I am in the trenches right now and with as many smart people who have tried to make a fix out of this toyota mishap I might cave and buy the dorman from amazon.
I thought of all sorts of ways to fix my cable. It snapped right at the head of the door...
What are the best or largest size spade connectors that work for the relay terminals to ensure the best connection?
Is there any reason not to use dielectric grease on the relay pins as a first measure?
