Hmmmm when do they start counting the 25 years from? Model year or exact production date?
Someone is coming to look at the Trillium today..now there's an investment! Sold for $800 when they were new and around 5k 40 years later..
Lol, yep mine, sad to see it go, I just need something that can tow and haul gear and bodies for my northern hunting trips and my family vacations.... not to mention we're gonna get a bigger travel trailer. The Tundra has 381 hp and dual climate control, I do burn outs by accident lol...it just...
I think I'd break up the driving and take another day in the lilloet area and one less in barkerville.. one day to 100 mile is no problem if you are making time but is a fair amount of driving for a family..
As far as mechanical problems and seeing people on that likely loop, it depends when you go. After september you'd probably be good as there'd be some hunters drivin by eventually. On any sunny weekend in the summer you'll see the odd tourist checking out the ghost lake falls....
I carry a...
Yep, I have nightmares of breaking down up north while hunting where a 300 km bcaa tow gets you to more nowhere :) (not that I have BCAA, I drive a toyota right ;) ) We're going 32 hours north this year luckily the travel trailer is staying home, we're just taking the boat and tents...
I don't think a cummins in a 80 makes sense if you are going to turn up the fuel for more power, you'd lose the allwheel dirve when you replace the tranny and to really wheel it with the additional power you'd have to replace the axles...it would be cheaper/faster to buy a 1 ton dodge and boat...
I turned down the fuel a bit more, tuned for max egts towing up hills in hot weather, did a bit of grinding to get the power right off the line. Not towing the truck is great, 110km/hr up hills to quesnel and back with better fuel economy than before.
Truck is now awesome at highway speeds...
I would consider a cooler and a guage...stock light doesnt come on till almost 300 degrees..and with fuel mods done an egt guage is necessary..you ll be surprised when you hit those mountain passes in summer how fast everything gets hot...
Bullets glancing off bear skulls is a fallacy...sure a small caliber will glance off as my buddys friend found when he tried to kill his cow at butcher time, he went back in the house got the 308 and dropped the cow in it's tracks. The skull had just a bruise where the 22 hit...It's more about...
So a little update..
I emailed g turbo for some tuning advice but haven't got an email back yet so I started tuning based on the info I gleaned from here......I used the measurements big boy posted on the tune thread as well as some felt it black and look for the line testing. I aimed for...
Almost 100% of bear conflicts involving an armed person end in the person surviving, especially if they are not solo...pepper spray does not maintain this rate of survival. If you rely on pepper spray you should buy one can to test, it doesn't spray far and you can easily spray yourself in even...
