I would assume if voltage / current exceeds motor specs they'll (the motors) fail early. That said the duty cycle here probably low enough to not matter. I not learned enough to opine and if my windows bothered me enough I'd try it. Mine go down at warp speed and back up a bit slower. 🤷♂️...
Ops obviously put much effort into the Window Rocket development and certainly addresses an 80 issue. I'd just measure my new voltage at the motors and if it's above the rated motor spec just understand what happens to DC motors when being fed excess voltage.
Nice implementation and good luck all!
Isn't the voltage drop at the window motors due to the voltage drop / loss in the wimpy stock wiring TO the motor? Like the headlights too hence products like wiring harness upgrades. 🤷♂️
Maybe pour some water down your front sunroof drains and see if or how fast it comes out at the bottom?? I have good flow on left but slow go on right.
I have a little over an inch of clearance between bolt and top of slider. Anyone recall ~~ how long those bolts are before I break off the weld nut and have one flopping around with no clearance to pull it out?
I used noico strategically and it really helped with the doors and rear quarters. Changed resonance and lost that tinny sound in those spots. Now a much more manly thud.
