What is involved in replacing the valve cover gasket on a 1997 LX450? Will it come off after removing the intake hose, or does a bunch more stuff have to come off. Don't want to start today if it's going to turn out to be more that a remove bolts and lift off job. Thanks

Nothing happens when I pull the latch! I help the find a link or an answer on how to get the hood open not relying on the cable? Is there a trick to getting the grill out so I can get at the latch and unbolt it?

My 97 LX450 hood won't release. Pulled the lever under dash and cable came out but hood wouldn't open. Can't seem to get at release mechanism near rad. Can't remove grill because 2 screws come down from under hood! How can I get the hood open to see what's needed on latch?? Cable is not broker...

Thanks guys. It has been about 20 yrs. since I left the mechanic trade so OBD stuff is new to me. I did get the code read and got a PO 141, which I believe is the 02 sensor, the one behind the cat. Thanks again to all. Ed
