Weird stumble at idle and acceleration….like just an intermittent miss…

Yep they were total crap. I have the 98 LC, and 2 LX470's and I go through ignition coils like they are going out of style for some reason....may be because they all have over 200K on them...

Weird stumble at idle and acceleration….like just an intermittent miss…

Yep. I've already had to replace 2 of the Amazon cheapos. OEM next time, but man they are expensive!

Weird stumble at idle and acceleration….like just an intermittent miss…

I ended up ordering a set of ignition coils off of Amazon and that took care of the issue.

Weird stumble at idle and acceleration….like just an intermittent miss…

So I went by an awesome place here in the Austin area called Land Cruiser Specialist and talked to Shawn… he was awesome and full of good suggestions! He recommended cleaning the mass airflow sensor, cleaning the throttle body, and then pulling the engine cover and making sure there were no...

Weird stumble at idle and acceleration….like just an intermittent miss…

Hey guys… 98 Land Cruiser 267,000 miles… Starting to stumble a little bit at idle and upon acceleration. I had first thought ignition coil, but no codes have been thrown at all…fuel filter about 10,000 miles ago. Did a video, but couldn’t get the stupid thing to attach. Thanks!

    Events/Trails Austin-Area 100 Series Owners Get-Together?

The LC is the beast of the group for sure and has OME lift, ARB front, roof rack with a s*** ton of lights...

    SOLD Midland, TX 1999/Lexus/LX470

LiveFlyway, thank for the great LX. Heck of a road trip from Austin to Midland, but well worth it! You had a very well taken care of LX, and it was nice visiting with you and glad your LX is being passed on to another LC/LX aficionado. Us Texans (and Aggies) have to stick together on the...

    Newbie Intro

Thanks for the info on the droop. I need to check that. I only went up about 1.5 inches (at least that is what it looked like as well as I could measure it) and had a 4 wheel alignement done when I got the new tires last week. CV boot had a small tear in it before I went up; I know I need to...

I'll try to post some pics tonight. My wife/kids are out of town, so I will actually have time to do it. Man, that front diff gear looks like it exploded.....bet that sounded nice afterward. The "keys" that I was referring to are also known as "pork chops", and from what I understand, replace...

First post for me....'98 LC, 285/75-16 Pro Comp Xtreme Mud Terrains, tweaked torsion bars, PAID FOR. I am in the Ridgecrest, CA area in the Mojave Desert and wheel the LC pretty extensively in my area in its stock form. It's time to start modifying and replacing parts, as I now have a...
