I need an exhaust manifold for my gasser. Bringing it back into California and reinstalling all of the original parts to pass smog. Anyone know what other models, (pickup, etc) that would interchange? Thanks in advance for any input. Todd

I had trouble with both my edic control relay box and the edic motor. I found a couple of the printed circuit 'wires' that had cracked on the back of the board. I traced the circuit and soldered in a small wire between the two terminals to replace the printed 'wire'. Works great. The edic motor...

I'm with Marbles- check your edic. I had a similar problem with my BJ. I removed the edic and cleaned the electrical contacts inside. Works like a charm.

low oil pressure at idle confirmed; what to do? I need to bring this topic back around. I've installed a mechanical gauge and confirmed that my '81 3B/ 350km engine oil pressure runs around 18-25 psi at operating speed, but drops to less than 5psi oil pressure at idle. Is this normal?

Your '73 FJ should be no problem as long as it meets Federal Safety Standards. '75 and prior year model vehicles are exempt from emmission requirements and smog test in CA.

frame; the same If I understand correctly, the frame itself would be the same, just the engine mounts would have to be used from the old frame? Unfortunately, I can't park the two side by side and get a good look at everything. Were the spring shackles updated between '76 and '81?

I need a frame, among other things, for my '81 BJ42. I heard about a '76 FJ for sale less motor, doors and hardtop. My question is; Besides the differences in the body, are all cruiser frames pretty much the same? how about the rest of the drivetrain? axles?(again, besides the drum/disc brakes...
