Quick easy and cheap intake hose replacement

Lol no not paper. That's an old photo you see in the catalog where you can see the weave of the fiberglass, but it was never paper. “CEET” type ducting has two plies of neoprene-impregnated fiberglass, similar to CAT except wire between plies. For use in hot or cold air applications and for...

Quick easy and cheap intake hose replacement

Hi guys, So like many of you my stock intake hose was shot, cracked in many of the lower sections as they are prone to doing with the stock part NLA. So my other passion is flying and I do all my own plane maintenance. I took some quickie measurements and bought 2ft of 2.75” CEET tubing from...

    More Thermostat/Temp Gauge nonsense

Then why do so many other folks' systems work as designed, and the temp gauge starts at cold and rises to about 50% sweep at full operation temp? I'm checking the wiring and ground, then replace the sensor.

    More Thermostat/Temp Gauge nonsense

Alex, Thx but you're describing the exact opposite of my problem, my gauge reads too low, not too high. I was pretty careful burping the system as well, no change in symptoms before or after new stat/gaskets/housing. Barely 2-3 needle widths off cold.

    More Thermostat/Temp Gauge nonsense

So I had the typical temp gauge reading low, barely 2-3 needle widths into the white arc. And following thread searches, I assumed it was a missing/misaligned top gasket. So I gathered a new 190 deg stat, top and bottom gasket and figured no problem. So upon disassembly I discovered the top...

    stolen 62

Not sure about cancellation/prorate policy, my guess would be no prorated refund, it's an annual subscription so you buy it a year at a time. As an aside, why would you want to cancel the sub? Just move the Spot to another vehicle, or boat, or trailer, your shady teenager's car, anything you...

lets beat it to death again - Shocks

I can +1 on the Tough Dog shocks, they ride exceptionally well and are fantastic off road and they are priced attractively. Also Jason is an absolute pleasure to work with, tell him what your needs and driving habits are and he suggests the proper shock for the job. I have the OME springs...

Builds Cummins R2.8 Conversion build thread

It will do what every other Cummins turbo diesel does at altitude; the ECU will sense the lower atmospheric pressure, close the waste gate a bit, spin the turbo a bit faster to hold boost and the intercooler will do it's job keeping temps under control. Mikey
