I see everything( FJ60/FJ80) with 4BT SUA but not a FJ40, So would a 4inch SUA FJ40 beable to take the 4bt? Also taking that much off of the oil pan isnt that bad for the engine? How do you know you have enough oil....? You could just go off the dip stick? but is that alright for the engine?

DO I need a SOA kit or would a standard SUA lift work because they are easier to install. Would it allow the 4bt to fit and not have oil pan to low?

Thanks for the help, I really do appreciate it. It seems as if I will have to save money and pay off loans..... bummer. Possibly get a diesel pickup. I will definitely keep my eyes and ears open and learn as much as I can though and hopefully someday I will be able to own my diesel 40...

Does anyone know if it would be alright to just use the original Toyota Transmission with the 4BT?

Yea the 2F engine is fine but sure does suck gas. So taking a BJ40/42 engine and putting it into a FJ40 is still just as much of a project as putting in the 4Bt i take it? I think i might get a diesel pickup and run biodiesel and just keep my eye open for a amazing deal on BJ40/42 that i could...
