Trying to find the best protective coating to cover the dull, matt paint on my '94 80. This is my huntin' rig/BOV, and I am trying to protect it against light brush scratches, lots of rain, mud, etc.
The paint is not shiny now, it never will be shiny, I don't want it to be shiny...so please...
Interesting! They do indeed make brackets for the 80 TLC:

And they fit Corbeau seats:

Apparently the only difference between them and...
The seats move back plenty far. Corbeau sells complete sliding mounts that work excellent. I'd be surprised if it moved further or was more comfortable than stock LX450 seats tho...
In case anyone else orders the $5 Dorman spring and can't figure out how to attach it, here's a picture. I put it on wrong the first time and almost broke it getting it out.
You need the for almost shut to slip it in
My seats are too high
I'm 6'2" and my huntin' buddies are about the same. One guy is 6'4". We're having to break our necks trying to look up at hillsides.

Yessir, and the result is truly epic! Check my write up here. If you pony up $50, I'll ship you the 2 spoke steering wheel I put on while I was working on my rig's original wheel.
"Two spoke soon-broke" Hilarious. The wheel is solid as a granite rock. I doubt a 10lb sledge would bend it.
Yes Cruiserman, on long drives I like to rest my hand on the bottom. And now I have the most unique Cruiser steering wheel! :steer:
