I've run Amsoil and the Chevron techron fuel additive through mine a few times. I can't say it's done anything GREAT, but sure has strong proponents in the "for" camp of the argument. So long as it's not every tank of fuel, you'd be fine IMO...

You could re-charge the battery and start testing fuses for parasitic load...It's possible you've got a drain on-board somewhere.

Sounds like an alternator to me. Was your replacement OEM? Denso? Other?
