FJ60/62 Hood (Blue) with hood insulator. Hood has no rust. Both back corners are bent back a bit. Paint has some spots of adhesive or sap on it. Hood insulator is in good condition. I'm located in Seattle. Price: $100 Bellamy 206-282-0521

So I back-flushed the front heater core today. I attached garden hoses to the inlet and outlets at the fire wall (with hose mender kits, see photos). The lower hose is the water supply from my faucet, and the upper hose runs into a collection bucket. Ran the water full blast and out came a bunch...

I'm going to flush core and actually remove and inspect valve tomorrow....let you all know what the status is after that. Come on Heat!

The core must have some water flowing thru it because the outlet hose is very hot to the touch. Could a reduced flow of water thru the core really cause me to have little to no heat?

I know this must be a stupid questions but I can't figure out how to get the a/c belt off so I can put on a new one. I have a 1988 FJ62. Currently putting in a new radiator, etc. I've tried to adjust the idle pulley in order to get the slack I need to slip the belt off, but it doesn't seem to...

Well I'm an idiot..........found the two vacuum hoses hanging down from the fire wall and the air filter attached to nothing. It was that way since I bought it about 6 years ago. Guess I'm lucky the distributor lasted that long. Now I just have to decide if I'm going to spend around $500...

Does the 3FE engine distributor really have vacuum lines attached to it? or is that just on the 2F?

Thanks for the input. Does anyone have a pic of the correct ventilation for the distributor? I looked in the FSM and can't find a pic or diagram. I'm looking at getting a good used dizzy, but don't want this to happen again.
