BJ44 Shocks Good news. We have ordered out 3inch lift kit form ALCAN springs. We are now looking for suitable shocks. I was recommended bilstein by ALCAN but i have since been told that Monotube is not a good idea offroad. So i am now wanting to change. What shocks can i get for this...

Yeah we have Old Man Emu here, but because the BJ44 is such a rare model they don't think there is a OME type that will fit. The BJ44 has a mid wheel base.

Are you sure it is not the Voltage Regulator, my 62 was doing the same thing the other day, its a weird loud clicking noise from the front left wheel arch..Couldn't figure it out at first, but then found it did it when the vehicle wasn't moving.

Nope I haven't got it wrong, it is an '88 FJ62 5 speed manual transmission, assembled in South Africa. There aren't many around..:)

continued There was so much baked oil inside, I had to wonder if and when last this car had been serviced. Well its all done now, new valves gaskets etc. Putting it back tomorrow. will run it for a week or so then change the oil again and flush engine again. Hopefully that puts it all right...
