Tried again to upload photos after hitting ten posts, still no luck it just says waiting for forum:bang:

Recently the brake pedal has gone hard, it still stops in a straight line which makes me think the brake booster has gone, I still have vacuum so I don't think it's the vacuum pump. I looked up the forum and took the advice of others and which led to believe its the booster so I order one today...

Hi Guys, I am a new poster to the forum but have been watching other peoples builds and enjoy their progress and the comments of others. I have used the forum to solve some minor vehicle issues and get idea's in general. It's now time to introduce the build/restoration of my 73 Series...

You say "The only problem is the wires don't go live when the main beam is on but one goes off" you are only looking for one live wire, I'm confused when you say ONE goes off.

All the headlight high beam does is activate/switch the relay to send power directly from the battery to the driving lights.

If the high beam comes on the wire must be live. Put your test light earth on the negative side of the battery and probe the wires going into the back of the headlight and find the one that lights up the test light when on high beam. I don't know what you mean when you say that one goes off...

Wiring driving lights The power to activate the driving lights must come from the wire the that livens up when the high beam is on. The driving lights can not come on with the low beam (its Illegal). I haven't done one of these for a while but it I remember rightly, all the headlight wire...
