Can’t separate the blower unit on the right from the central air dist box with the dashboard in place.

The smittybuilt tire plug kit also fits into the space perfectly taking up about a third of the available room. Still plenty of space for tire gauge, 7 to 4-pin adapter, flashlight, valve stem caps, valve core tool, rags, gloves, etc etc etc.

Rear blade 85242-60130 Rear insert 85214-42040 Inserts are pretty annoying to install, a lot more tricky than the fronts.. but they do work as new once that's done.

Call discount tire and tell them that size is on the tire rack website and you understand they can acquire them. They’ll need to call corporate to get a quote but they absolutely can get them, that’s what I just had done for mine three weeks ago...

I did use the clips. Can’t see why anyone wouldn’t.. they fit above the weather stripping so shouldn’t impact regulator function at all.

Pics of grille removal in this thread Edit: turns out there is an LX grille removal video in that thread. Should help.. very small differences per my friend’s 13 LX https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/polishing-headlight-lenses-grille-removal.1205764/

No video but…. Remove plastic radiator cover Remove three 10mm bolts holding grille wings and center. Remove front camera harness. Pretty tricky.. I needed an o-ring pick to get the tab to release. Use flathead screwdriver to work around the...

Also good points. I’d consider getting any wheel that will fit and put as cheap a tire on there as you can. Then take your time deciding on 5 wheels in preparation for a set of whatever new tires when you need them. When that time comes you...

I dunno about later models but my 2013 has something of a flap that is still an external element of the light. Spiders and small things do tend to get wedged in there but compressed air from the outside can knock them loose.

bloc replied to the thread Power steering fluid question.
Good catch, but I still wouldn't put much weight in it. Even toyota doesn't know what parts fit their vehicles on occasion.

bloc replied to the thread Power steering fluid question.
Probably says that because the owner's manual doesn't explicitly allow it. Then again the manual calls for DexIII which doesn't seem to be in a 200 from the factory.. Or if it is, they got it without the dye. I wonder who in Toyota...

The non-cosmetic side of the wheel being pointed down and the tire sidewall protruding a good bit further than that seems to prevent actual damage to the wheel. Other people get on harder trails than I do but while I have dragged the spare a...

bloc replied to the thread Power steering fluid question.
I know. The backwards compatibility objective was enough to convince me. I would not put WS in there though. The fact that toyota would specify DexIII when they have WS in their regular parts system tells me there is a fundamental reason it's...

This. Once upon a time I had 285/70R17s on Rock Warriors and was looking at Aux tanks. Knowing the 13-gal options require lowering the spare tire somewhat, I was also looking into which tires I could run on a narrower Tundra wheel to reduce...

I’ve been using DexVI for about 60k miles without issue.

This goes against what the owners manual says, and is likely very unhealthy for our Torsen limited slip center differential, especially if that driving includes any freeway time.

These engines are well-known for being easy on the oil. I’d be shocked if any damage was caused by using mobil1 vs another product. Even the OCI is within what the book says is acceptable, though I accept the evidence that repeating this for the...

bloc replied to the thread FSM for 200 series.
Yeah I started a thread about people's maintenance spreadsheets, partly to collect other people's ideas and see if they could improve my system. The torque sheet is particularly useful though. I've definitely spent time digging around in the...

bloc replied to the thread FSM for 200 series.
You guys should consider adding torque specs to your cloud-based maintenance spreadsheet. When set up to save for offline viewing all these numbers (including the calculation for when to use the smaller in-lb tool) are available anywhere I have...

Someone’s jumping to conclusions. I’ve had a mid-tread flat on a C-load LT as well, just not on my 200.

bloc replied to the thread SL vs C Load Tires.
My experience with SL/XL has been great over a couple dozen trips to SW colorado. I did have one fail in the center of the tread but I wasn't aired down and this road couldn't have been better material for flats if it tried. And the 99.5% of...

If you shut the truck off for a couple hours, does the fan roar when you start it up again and it hits that initial high idle? Any signs of a leak from the clutch, whether from the shaft seal or the outer perimeter? I will say how free it...

Yeah, I came down off a rock or ledge and must have tapped the skid on another rock. TBH I'm not worried about the dent.. when I get time I had plans to pull the front skid and hammer it out as best I can. Personally I wouldn't want to give up...
