Dan is right. Get them as clean as you can. Just need a roll of rags. The dealers dont use a parts washer so why should you.

Yep. I have taken it off road, tucked the wheels and had no issues. Its very simple, think of it as a lift block, or longer strut. I might lower my bump stops just because... The shocks keep the springs (metal or air) in the proper position, if you add longer shocks and don't do the research...

See the lift here: Oklahoma GX Member It rides like stock - but it's taller. For the front I installed OME 884s. The front lift is just over 2.5 inches, the rear it about the same, I also added a tad bit of air in the springs for some additional height, and to try to firm the ride some.

How do the Rancho Quick Lift struts ride? What settings have you tried?

I lifted my GX and kept the bags. I took a pair of old bag and cut the lower half off each. I cut them at a slight angle, roughly 1/2 taller towards the backside, as the axle comes forward when you lift /lower the axle.

Tien also has a coilover for the prado/GX coming out this summer. Looks amazing.

You might look at the air injection pumps too. I dont have an 05... but I am pretty sure those can toss a code the is emissions related. If not that its the Cats.

To echo the rest, great job! I plan to tackle this project very soon. just need a weekend and some scrap metal. I would love to see a few different angles to see how you made yours. Also, did you weld your plates while it was mounted on your GX? I am fearful I will cause damage to the ECU or...
