What did you do on your 70 series today?

Especially if it gets rid of a rattle that's been annoying you for weeks or months. :)

What did you do on your 70 series today?

When I bought my KZJ 78 it had already fallen victim to the Japanese trend of attaching everything, including cupholders, to the AC vents on the dash. As a result out of four I only had two intact. Unfortunately the one just to the right of the steering wheel was out of production. I decided...

What did you do on your 70 series today?

I'm not sure about the code but the dealer in Okinawa that I bought it from called it mustard

What did you do on your 70 series today?

Got mine back from the mechanic today. Had a bunch of work done including Dobinson's 2.5" lift kit and steering damper, 10 blade fan upgrade, 76 degree thermostat, Front end rebuild, manual hub conversion, brake calipers rebuilt, brake rotors surfaced with new pads, and timing belt with new...

    1995 KZJ78W Land Cruiser Prado

Here's more recent pic with the Yokohama ATs I have on it now. I like them much better than the Kenda MTs that were on it. They are 285/70/16s I think. The guys at dream run called the color Mustard. I think the guy at Outcast Garage knows what code it is. He told me but I forgot to write...

    1995 KZJ78W Land Cruiser Prado

It's not cool to post pictures of someone else's rig and claim it as your own. Ha ha. Just kidding but seriously though I have one that's a carbon copy on the outside at least. Did you also buy yours from Dream Run? I just picked mine up from getting a bunch of work done at Outcast Garage in...

What did you do on your 70 series today?

Got the appointment scheduled with a shop that specializes, more or less, in Land Cruisers. 26 Sept is the big day. They'll be doing the suspension and steering damper install, new brake rotors and pads, front end rebuild, 10 blade fan upgrade, 76 degree thermostat, and viscous fluid change...

What did you do on your 70 series today?

Nothing super exciting but I did get my door drain holes unplugged so my doors can stop filling up with water when it rains or I wash my KZJ 78. Which is good because I'm in Okinawa and it rains a fair amount with plenty of typhoon season left. I also picked up my Dobinsons suspension from the...

Question about best shock replacement on HZJ78

Pretty much. I have a Dobinsons 2.5" kit that I'll be picking up from the post office on Tuesday or Wednesday. I took it to a local shop that sort of specializes in Land Cruisers, at least seven on their small lot when I went by, and they said I'd be fine with the 2.5". They'll also be doing...

What did you do on your 70 series today?

I don't understand why but for some reason the US version is getting shortchanged and will only be a five seater. I might have to write it off for that reason.

Question about best shock replacement on HZJ78

I'm having a hard time figuring this out for myself as well for my KZJ 78. The dealer hear in Okinawa told me it's got a 2" lift. I wanted to make sure I got the right ones so I emailed Dobinsons and they told me to take measurements at the hub and send them. Once I did they said it's only a...

    70 series "revised body work"

Does Toyota not realize they could have saved a ton of development cash if they'd just bring the updated 70 series to the US?

What did you do on your 70 series today?

Have to admit I'm a little jealous. I got excited because my new sun visors are in and I won't have to deal with a floppy visor anymore.

    Guide: Speedometer Correction

Where did you get the mph gauge? I'd love to not have to do the conversion in my head or run Waze all the time once I get back to the US.

    Prado question

I just recently picked up my KZJ78 and the first half tank only got about 16.5. I'm hoping it'll go up a bit since I switched the MTs out for ATs. Literally everything else about driving it is much better with the ATs so I'm hopeful.
