Merus is not on MLK weekend?

Ended up getting a P3 brake controller to replace the integrated one. It kept failing and got this error. The trailer is not even hooked up

Posting for future reference

Added a vacuum line from distributor to intake. Apparently it helps adjusts the timing when starting; tried a couple of times and engine seems to be turning easier. Did a vacuum test as well. No fluctuation at higher rpms, still need to do a compression test to rule out some things

Mounted to radiator

So built a shroud and got a new 10" fan with a higher cfm rating

Temp after engine shutoff and fan running a few minutes. It was reading 100, which the water in the radiator was boiling which makes me think it is celsius

I checked for coolant circulation to see if the water pump was good. That checked out. Then I played with the electric fan and noticed that at idle in this heat, it struggled to get the temp back under control. So I am leaning towards building a shroud, more CFMs, or both.

So chasing the heat issue. One, I believe the water temp gauge is reading in celsius. I tested the thermostat and it is fine.
