Did you do a build up thread? I'd like to put a 4.7 in a 3rd Gen 4runner.....just haven't found anyone that has done it!

Hmmm....no, no I appreciate the constructive criticism! I suppose I could just get used to an auto and get a 4th gen, but everyone has one of those things.....and I think they are kinda ugly, heavy, bigger and worse off road...

Oh, I'd also use electric fans. Want to do that anyway for better efficiency.

Body lift will take care of the motor height. Remote oil filter. Water lines not a big problem, can maybe fit the Tundra radiator if needed. I wonder if the 3.4L flywheel would bolt up to the 4.7......that sounds like a long shot, but how hard could it be to get a solid flywheel made...

Hi I am interested in swapping a 4.7 into a 4runner. I want a manual trans behind this, so I am assuming that the v8 would bolt right up to a 3.4L manual trans. Is this correct? Has anyone done this? Any thoughts? Thanks!

How easy (or hard) would it be to put the NV4500 behind the 6.5TD in an 80? I only want a manual trans!!!
