The thing many are missing about the Headlamp harness kit was Matt was installing balanced pair of not-available-in-the-USA Japanese or Korean LED bulbs in them. They weren't just the same kit as the dealer sells with stock halogen bulbs. He...

I think I've said the exact same things to him, in addition to having a minimum order so he doesn't spend the same amount of time shipping out a $10 order as he does $500 order. I even showed him an ebay study done years ago for its sellers and...

I've kept pretty quiet on this topic, well, because why beat a dead horse? To my own weakness, I have a hard time with this whole topic to begin with. I consider Matt a friend and have quite a bit of empathy. I've never met him in person, but I...

I've got this cold weather air cleaner assembly @65swb45 posted a pic of one of these mounted in his rig back in 2018 the rear inlet sits right above the exhaust manifold

Well, now it's done: ToyotaMatt is no longer a forum member. Really another great resource lost, and it's threads like this that pushed it. Plenty of blame to go around, but it's not all the vendors'. Not defending VTP business, it's the...

This seems appropriate. I look back 20 years to when a local fabricator was heading down the drain, and I considered posting a few kind words. Not being forum savvy (not that I’m all that savvy now!) I reached out to Georg to vet my posts. He...

:] That looks perfect! Also, I really want to add something again. This entire process is taking so long to do. I'm using a 4 speed cover. Still not yet converted to 4 on the tree. I test fit the cover with foam gasket and it fits and drove...

I think the body filler is done. Now primer filler and hopefully top coat on Tuesday when the weather is supposed to be sunny.

I have always strapped it down to the roof rack either across the top or to side of rack depending on how full the rack is.

We get a lot of phone calls at the shop looking for tech help beyond our YouTube videos. While I love helping when I can it's really hard to drop working on a paying job to take help calls. The last few live streams folks have asked about one...

And the other food I tried to feed the monkey will be on BaT shortly once I get it all detailed. I do absolutely love this truck, and I really love driving it. She's been my daily when I'm not working since I finished her. But now I've got too...

The trick I found my friend to get that monkey off your back is to strap it down and feed it Adventure. A good tall friend helps as well! Enjoy the heck out of the new FJ43 coming soon.

For those of you who have been on Mud a while, you may know me. But for those who've joined in the last 6 or 7 years, I'm really no one. I've been a Cruiser guy since I was nearly 3 when my folks bought a brand new '72 FJ40 at Lyons Toyota in...

I'd say $16-17k. No top and doors is a killer. Market is unknown. I'd like to say it's soft then a piece of s*** will sell for $75,000

You can look in the classified section to see what's being asked for, for other 40's.

Keep in mind FJ40's and just about every other vehicle were selling at a premium during covid. Prices these days have dropped since then. It appears there was some frame repair in the right frt. I think it needs new body mounts or something...

Thank you for the feedback. Not in a rush (like ASAP) but I think the sooner the better. Separately, this was formerly owed and covered by Harry Wager in Peterson's 4WD magazine.

Thats a nice 40. Should sell pretty quick at $15k. If you want to be patient, maybe $20k? The market said it was worth $21,500 in 2022, and the market has softened a lot since then. It still has a big pile of really nice expensive parts on...

We cannot be of any help without lots of good photos....with what you have described, maybe $12k. Not having a hard top or hard doors will bring the price down a couple grand for sure.

Guys - really need help understanding the market value for a 1970 FJ40. I am trying to lend a hand to the widow of one of my good friends and I am not tuned in to FJ pricing. The FJ40 was acquired about 6 years ago. My buddy put a lot of work...

It’s probably the same blower as the gen IV and not that bad, you hear it but not annoyingly loud. I haven’t fired this one up yet.

With the blower inside the cab, how loud is that system?
