Hey Soggy I just wanted to say thanks, I've been suffering from this issue with my recent fj80 purchase, and this 10 years after this original post, and I addressed the dust covers with a bead of silicone until the new ones show up, and this SEEMS to have fixed my leak- thanks so much!!!
