There are a couple of posts and build threads, but I think I am going to start with a generic winch mounting plate if I do not have a suitable size piece of scrap steel. Then use standoffs/spacers on top of that plate to raise the winch up a little to get the rope/cable inline with the vertical...

While I'm monkeying around the dash... There is a 'beeper/chime', that I hear only ocassionally or intermittently when I open the door... I suspect something loose or not right with it... there's like 4 rapid beeps, a pause, 4 rapid beeps, a pause... beep beep beep beep....beep beep beep...

Installed CDL switch. Works. Easy peasy.

Cleaned up, glued magnets, clocked, greased, sealed up, painted quick. Reinstalled, & working fine.

Decided to troubleshoot my inoperable rear locker. Read all the threads on troubleshooting, then climbed under with tools and testing things. Motor is bound, and the 2 top bolt heads are stripped holding it to the 3rd... just cammed out. Gave up for now, and letting them soak in penetrating...

We were up at Wintergreen just before halloween doing the Nat'l park drive and other sights up that way - stopped down to Waynesboro - Lost City and that crazy pawn/junk/everything you would ever look for shop. It was... interesting.

It was a good trip - Ankida Ridge is a special place for sure - Amazing wine, good people to converse with and they had a great food truck there - Carbon Catering. Never thought I would get a NY Strip from a food truck - but I did and it was definitely in my Top 5. The event at Ankida wound...
