We were up at Wintergreen just before halloween doing the Nat'l park drive and other sights up that way - stopped down to Waynesboro - Lost City and that crazy pawn/junk/everything you would ever look for shop. It was... interesting.

Checked my nuts, new O2 sensors, installed 2 new side mirrors, satin blacked the lower 1/5th of the cab... the rust brown was unsightly. Weekend trip coming up and just getting the ol' girl in shape. The truck is coming along too.

I emailed with the West System technical department. Basically... get down to clean metal, apply Ospho, let dry. Sand with 80 grit to shiny metal just before applying epoxy in thin coats with a foam roller/brush. Ospho can stay in any pitting and this isn't a problem. When epoxy has cured...
On my truck I pulled those rocker plugs and water came out.... would that be due to the sunroof drains? I sheep dipped TF out of the rockers after discovering that.
While it is amusing to see... and my inner 12 year old applauds them... It was rather reckless given that it was about 15 feet from a stout oak tree, 15 feet from the ass end of my CLS550 and jeopardized the precious 94... A bad swerve could have been pretty interesting.
