Water hoses are still available from Toyota, at least recently.
Have you done the throttle body TPS adjustment per the FSM? I had a high idle issue until I did that and it has been fine since, 10 years or so.
Make sure your throttle cable...
I can see not needinit at all for the throttle plate, but worried it may idle crazy if I bypass it from the AICV….this may get a test run soon and see how each option affect the truck…it only freezes rarely in January and February here…only short...
That's their exact reason, preventing frost buildup when driving in cold temperatures. There's no difference in warm weather between having them or not, but if you get winter temps below freezing I would definitely keep them intact.
As long as...
Ad the title says I’m in need of the AICV for a 1988 Fj62. My lines were rusted almost solid with hard sediment. Wont run correctly now and idle it very high just before finding this. Part is NLA from Toyota. If any 3FE gurus have a lead, I’d...
Any late consensus on this…I think the water pump likes are just for warming idling the engine up until a certain temp is reached….yes, in cold climates. I live in Louisiana, soooooo not needed. Simpler 3FE would be nice.
Has anyone tried running a 3FE without the water lines through the throttle body and IAC valve? I’m planning a 3FE build to be as simple as possible and I want to block one of the water pump outlets (heater delete) that also feeds those lines.
