    Buyin', Sellin', and Tradin'

This is a little weird, but I have one new King shock with adjustable compression for a 200-series. It's never been installed on a truck. If you have a 200 with Kings, here's an opportunity to pick up a spare. $500 if I don't have to ship it.

King Suspension Guys: Single front shock for sale

I've sold the 200 and in going through the parts, I realized I have a single, unused King front show with compression adjustment. If anyone wants to have an emergency spare or one to swap out in the future while having the front shocks rebuilt, $600 plus actual shipping takes it.

Just curious, what's your OTHER vehicle?

If I had a choice, I'd have gotten a manual, but the Turbo S is PDK-only. With respect to the brakes, I've become a sucker for ceramics. The pedal feel is unbelievably good. I have them on the wagon as well, and they're equally fantastic.

Just curious, what's your OTHER vehicle?

Well, guys, I'm out of the Cruiser Cartel. The wife found it to be too big, especially after I lifted it, so we ordered a TRD Pro 4Runner, and traded the Cruiser for a 2012 Turbo S. If anyone is looking for a 2016 Cruiser with 21,000 miles and King shocks, send me a message and I'll tell you...

Just curious, what's your OTHER vehicle?

Sort of. They introduced the 'S' moniker for the Performance Package in MY14 with the advent of AWD. Mine is a Performance Package car, and when looking it up internally with Mercedes, it comes up as an E63S. It has the goodies like ceramic brakes, limited slip, and Driver Assistance, and it had...

Just curious, what's your OTHER vehicle?

A few months ago I picked up an E63 wagon for kid-hauling duties. It was a chore finding the one I wanted, which is the last year of rear-wheel-drive, which has the twin-turbo 5.5L: It makes pretty good power for a wagon: A new challenger steps up for the king of depreciation title...

    Anyone Removed Mud Flaps?

I cut the hell out of mine to prevent rubbing. I even cut a mounting tab off the front bumper before removing the forward portion of the liner.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. It'll come together soon enough. I've already bought steel for the sliders and aluminum for the bumpers. It'll be different when it's done. Thanks. The wheels were a pretty good score, and I like the fact that I've never seen them on another Land Cruiser. In...

Yes, they're the 2.5" with remote reservoirs and compression adjusters (Part Numbers 25001-266A and 25001-267A) with their recommended 600-pound springs. I was tempted to go to 700, but maybe the next set. The ride quality is very good, and all around they're nice components, but their...

    I chose Kings, but wish I hadn't.

Yesterday I finally had all the parts to start lifting the family truckster, so I spent last night swapping the springs, shocks, and upper control arms. I'm not entirely happy with the rake. There was a fair amount of rubbing going on up front with the 285/75-18 Wranglers until I had...

What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

I bought a new windshield. It cracked about three months into ownership, and I've been putting it off. I had to drive an hour south to get it, but I saved $275 over buying from my local dealer.

    pre 2016 vs post 2016

The idea that the brakes themselves cause diving of the front end is an example of correlation, not causation. The cause is suspension geometry as affected by weight transfer. Braking initiates the weight transfer, which is when suspension loading begins. There are various ways to eliminate...
