Took mine off almost 2 years ago. Very happy with the results, although sometimes I think an awning would be nice. I wonder if it would be possible to make something like a Rackless mount that bolts in without drilling and has a quick disconnect.
Things are looking great! Dave at Savage Fab is almost done installing the first kit on his vehicle and has been concurrently welding up parts for the other kits. So far, shock hoops, axles, and most of the small bits have been manufactured. Once...
That’s a pretty good idea. Another DIY option is to weld in a section from a 2nd gen Tundra. Thats what “Russian Alex” did. I don’t know the guy, just DM’d on IG (@carpenter_by_night).
“I grafted in a section of a 2nd gen tundra frame to my...
I love my full suspension mountain bike, 26x1.95. I do not understand why suspension is not done for pavement-platforms. It keeps you in control, because for a bicycle, turning on normal pavement, realistically, means dealing with cracks, sand...
**Sorry in advance for the long winded story**
So, we've had the '06 100 series LC in my profile photo for prob 10 years. Bought it w/ about 145k on the clock. Outside of a couple drives from TX to FL & CO, it didn't go much further than 5...
I bought it this morning and took it to Toyota to have new tires installed and an alignment done. They also did their little inspection thing so someone did poke around under the hood.
Could something have popped loose? I don’t know what to...
I’m a fan of the OE rims. The 16” ones on the early 100s in particular are functional and so cheap they’re practically disposable, but they don’t need to look that way. I scored some on FBM for next to nothing, but they were covered in...
This is the best deal I found on a 200. It does seem the LX570s are going for less $ than the LCs. This one's at Stonecrest Toyota just east of Atlanta. If you do call or go see it, ask for Chelsea. She seemed like a great sales person. It's a...
I was in a similar dilemma. I kept the 100 and bought a 2020 Sequoia. 5.7 engine and a ton more room than a 200 series. They are cheap compared to a 200 series.
If I could, I would put a 100 body on a 200 drivetrain. Not because it looks better but the outward visibility is better and the 100 has a certain feel... maybe the best of all the heavy duty Land Cruisers. The 100 actually feels more solid to...
Hi everyone I posted this on the 200 forum, just figured I should also ask the 100 series people. As the title says I'm thinking of selling my 100 series to get into a 200 either a lx or lc. I am having a tough time because there is a lot that I...
I also loved that the place I bought it from went through the whole truck. They replaced valve cover gasket, spark plugs, battery, shocks, steering rack, ton of bushings. Put new wheels and new 35” tires. It was really a steal IMO.
Cheaper for the same condition than you are going to find in USDM.
I was also a teenager during the initial fast and furious saga so the idea of having an RHD vehicle has always been kind of a dream. Haha.
Genuine question, forgive me if it's a dumb one as I'm new to these trucks: why opt for a JDM 100-series if it's still equipped like a USDM truck? 2UZ, no AHC, and I assume no other special bells or whistles that the LC didn't get in the US. It's...
