They all went to this setup around 2005. Before that it was just a basic canister.

Not as easy with this swap as it has a leak detection pump built onto the canister.

Been slow going, messed up my back and been taking it easy the past few weeks. Another hose from the sequoia worked good, just needed to cut and twist it. Need to order a new water valve before it breaks. Mounted the power steering reservoir...

It was a whole summer of cleaning every single piece of the interior but Im used to it. Had to deal with mouse problems frequently when I worked at a dealership. I emailed the RMV and said it was originally bought without a title for parts...

Just came across this build. Found it funny to be a similar situation for my build. Looks like we are both in MA, tore the interior out due to mice, rebuilt HVAC box, similar rusty body spots and V8 swaps, except Im using a Toyota engine.

Sent the ECU out to disable air injection. Had the coolant hoses from the Sequoia. Cut down one end and was a perfect fit for the RH connection.

Found a spare sunroof bracket from my 4runner and happened to be just about the right size to block off the throttle cable hole in the firewall. Used some butyl tape between the bracket and firewall to seal it up.

Early style transfer case shifter bolts up to the A750 transmission and is in the correct location so the floor doesn't have to be modified. Needed to space the steering box out a little for steering shaft clearance at the headers. Delta...

Found a firewall grommet from an early 90s Camry. Fits the firewall hole and around the harness pretty good. Was a little tight getting all the connectors through it. The brackets from the 1fz ECU bolt on to the 2uz ECU and locate it with...

3FE power steering line mates up to the power steering pump, although it does eliminate the idle up valve. Cut the brackets off the air box lid to fit the intake tube. Removed the ABS pump and hopefully made enough room for the charcoal...

Bought 5 35" Ironmans off Walmart closeout for $800 and swapped the OEM wheels back on and enjoyed it for the summer. The ultimate plan for this 80 was to 2UZ swap it down the road. Ended up finding a 06 Sequoia locally for $1200. That made...

Starting a build thread for my 97 that I'm in the middle of a 2UZ swap. Seeing all the old build threads from the good Pirate4x4 days and all the good info I've found on this site got me wanting to do the same for this build. Good way to keep all...
