Cranked out 15.5 miles this morning. I added a few trails to the loop that I hadn’t ridden since 2019 or earlier. This made it the hilliest ride of the season with 956 feet of climbing. Somehow, also the fastest pace of the season.

Didn’t feel like working so went for a ride. One day I may make it it the end of this trail. I need to dig into elevation gain and track it out but probably 30 miles and 3k-4K elevation gain. It would be brutal.
weather is cooling down here a little so had a nice longer ride. funny how when you take away headwinds and going up hill the distance really isn’t that hard!
Got it out using the method I mentioned above. And would appear I was able to get it out without damaging too 😮💨
Got the vise style needle nose and the long handle needle nose on opposing ridges and it worked out well with some light scuffs on...
Could have ridden all day today with the temps/lack of wind.
We were 21-22 mph out but only 18 mph on the way back (different groups).
Anyway, nice day for an easy metric.
Followed a heavy rain storm to the trail, sky opened up to full sun and 59 degrees f. New rear tire on a beautiful hard packed gravel single track. Finished on a slight drizzle to cool down even more. Great day to ride with not one person in site.
i’m canadian so that’s km/hr. there’s no chance i could do that miles per hour speed!! i’m a 45 year old slightly over weight out of shape male on a gravel bike. i’m not near touching pro status at all!! but thanks for temporarily propping me...
28mph? Were you on a Ducati Scrambler? 😂
That speed would translate to a 53:30 40k TT, which was the standard distance when I was doing things intentionally that made me puke on a bike. That would have been a pretty solid time (top 5-10) for a...
Brutal heat day on the borderlands but had to get a recon of my Arizona Trail section that I steward.
It was hot. It was 90* when we started and topped out at 101*
Jenna and I both bonked hard with about 12 hard miles of single-track still to...
This is certainly debatable and anyone’s answer is really just opinion. IMO, I do not think changing the oil at < 5000 miles (the OEM guideline) is necessary, but I also think clean oil is better than dirty oil and that engines do break in and...
