The reason I went with a zero off set is because the factory wheels are zero offset. I’ve been running a 35” tire for decades without issues and wanted to keep it that way.

      I went with a 17 x 9 0-offset from Raceline.

You really don’t want to machine any rim.

landtank replied to the thread Brake Bleeder Screw Size.
I stopped using speed bleeders. The issue is when there is a good amount of air in the lines. The issues is that air compresses easier than brake fluid and you can have a situation where you’re not creating enough pressure to open the check valve...

I got my charger to the point where I needed an intake pipe so I’m designing for both setups at the same time.

So the mold was adjusted , casting were made and verified and full production has started. Next is machining then onto verification and finally shipping. 3-4 weeks I’m told.

Fan clutches is easy to check. Go out for a drive where you know it will run hot. When you see the temp rise, pull over. Shut the engine off and check the fan for resistance. There should be a significant amount of resistance and if not it’s...

Check for frame rail crack at the steering box. Movement on the drivers side will be magnified on the passenger side.

There is some voltage checks you can do. Its possible that it’s the problem for the rich condition.

The reason I’m asking is the pin location on my MAF is different than stock and if the wiring wasn’t correct the truck will run but will run rich

the P0172 is a system rich error. Basically the ECU has pulled 20% of the base injector timing out to compensate for a rich AFR. Does this truck have one of my old MAFs installed?

A store pedal and poor breaking is almost always a frozen caliper or seized rear slide pin.

landtank replied to the thread LSVP.
I don’t see the LSPV clogging it up. But if a lift is installed the LSPV can greatly inhibit braking and pedal feel if not addressed

Years ago I bought a MAF that was new and in a Toyota box off of EBay. When I got it, it didn’t work. Wrote back to the seller telling him this and he cussed me out for being a scammer and told me I was lying. I responded that I had a special...

Since I started to show my truck some love it's been one thing after another. For a while now it would have rough idle at times and reving the engine seemed to help. Yesterday out of the blue the truck started running erratically rpms dropping...

FYI, I have a complete factory underfloor tire carrier sitting in the garage, recently removed in order to install a Long Range America 42-gallon auxiliary ttank (story and pics coming soon.) It's yours for the price of shipping. Gotta keep those...

So the first samples of the intake adapter arrived today. The castings look great. A small issue with mounting them and a larger issue with plumbing them. Mounting issue was from the counter bores for the hollow dowels needs to be 7/16”. I...

The new shafts I build are just under 4.25” Diameter. Toyota also uses a smaller diameter DC. It’s the joint with outside clips and found on some tacomas. But those joints require pulling the shaft to grease and have smaller bearing caps and...

on a side note. During these times of driving distances in hot weather it was usually accompanied by the Charcoal canister hissing and a kerosene smell from under the hood. Working on my truck a couple of years ago I spotted 2 kinked hoses that...

At one point in Salt Lake City the transmission himp was so hot my phone powered off. And my AC was cranking My exhaust runs over the frame like the 93-94 models and it needs some heat wrap.

I had that a moth ago when I drove cross country. Basically the fuel in the tank had heated to a point where the tank was pressurized. I started to pay attention to tank pressure when I first took the cap off. And started to add fuel slowly at...

landtank replied to the thread Vibration during acceleration..
For me, u-joints tend to vibrate more under less load. The common deceleration vibration is from negative load. The shaft is trying to slow the truck down. Not the best explanation but hopefully you get the idea.
