Would everything still work? Not to sound like an idiot, but does the AC, PS, etc all mate up? Is 6k a good price for that?

Slee is 15k
I think iron pig quoted me 14-16k ball park

(These are two years ago numbers)

Wabbit said it would be turn key, but I assume it'll be using GM parts not the Toyota parts.

I'm not sure which tcase I would get but I wanted part time.

Of course there are tons of guys who have been pulling the F-3fe engines and dropping bow ties I'm there for a long time. 6k sounds good for a turn key. Was it a create motor or a low mileage late model?

It was either junk yard or I sourced the motor. I'm not sure. I talked to him about it a year or more ago.

I cant see any benefit to the sbc over the 1fz. Clarence has a nice supercharger for sale if it is just power that you want.

I thought MPG was the biggie. Can't you get 17-18 with the 4.11's and 35's with a SBC?

not enough to pay for the swap but once you put the investment in road trips do get cheaper.

the way I thought about it was there are lots more 350 mechanics and parts in the country than 1fz so if you break down somewhere...

the threads I have followed the owners say the v8s are more comfortable to drive in town.

if my engine/trans died an ls1 swap would be my solution.

Yeah, I mean I'm figuring you do the swap because your engine's gone / done. At that point it's pro / con for various options for replacement, not doing the swap out right for the MPG boost.

Not gonna lie, without the power sucking torque converter and having a low first gear, the 3FE is plenty peppy for around town driving.

yeah...I think I would be better off upgrading my stock gearing to compensate for larger tires....just a little sluggish out of the gate and also thought I might get better mpg....

Any engine swapers want to throw thier 1fzs away I'll take them..
That is until we can get our hands on good mecanical toyota diesels for a reasonable price.. I'd much rather go slow forever....

Jump off on a v8 swap for the fun factor....
