Uhhhhhhh That pic must have been before I blew up a shock, broke a spring, "S"'d a spring pack, and popped a birf..... yeah I think so... :)

Broken spring and shock happened on Wednesday. Broken Birf and S'd spring happened on Sunday, the birf lead to driving out in two wheel drive, which probably twisted the spring...

I almost made it through without a winch or a strap.... But I wasn't going to hammer it in 3 wheel drive to get out of where I broke my birf Sunday morning.

Great trip, great company, great trucks, grateful to be home on time more or less... 15 hour day yesterday, but I made it home safe at about 11 last night.

Glad you made it there and back again! I hope that trail is always available to we the people.

Um, where to start?

Much thanks first to my JSC crew. They totally saved my ass this week. My co-dog for the weekend, chedd'r bacon.

So Rubicon is NO JOKE. I thought i was about 80% prepared for this trip. I was proven wrong about 25 minutes in with the broken t case.

Total tally was the input shaft, broken front main leaf, bent rear leaves, blown bumpstop and fender massage from the rear tire. I still have to pull the rear end that started going away about 50 miles from Shasta. Suspecting ring gear damage. It got me home last night close to midnight.

I think the best quote I heard from the weekend went something like this outside of Buck Island.

"Well out of the 2 lines, 1 is impossible and the other is certain death" - Josh
(Or something like that)

Though Chedd'r Bacon had some good ones despite his taste in crappy music. :flipoff2:

Daaaang!! Looks like a good time there. Should have tried harder to actually go... Glad you all had fun and made if back

Matt

Looking at the pictures it looks like good times. Brings back memories, can't wait to go back again some day.

First off i explained the music. Being a hot chick goes a long way towards me liking your music, plus you older fogies recognized lots of the stuff anyways and i recall josh singing part of call me maybe.

Anything you might quote from me will probably be taken out of context anyways so im screwed no matter what you do.

It looks like i got close to 200 hundred pictures although it doesnt do any justice to the trail or any of the really hard parts because its hard to play camera man and good spotter at the same time. trying to mass upload to photobucket and then ill post the highlights

Great Trip, Sorry to hear about all the troubles getting up Cadillac, Ty2 suffered some body/Bondo damage. It was an experience of a life time for sure.

No real troubles getting up Cadillac other than the "6hr corner"
