For all you other guys who couldn't make the trip this last weekend, I plan on getting a trip in sometime just to make sure my stuff doesn't break where I can't get parts or a ride home in less than a week.

I'm thinking of running down for the day (may 19th) or maybe crashing that night depending on who all shows up.

I just got my wiring in today so hopefully the truck will be running shortly.

In...

no. It was actually directed at Bryan. Depending on how the weather is prior to the 19th at the cliffs, might be a more reasonable option for just a day trip. So if something does go wrong with his drivetrain swap, he is closer to home.

I would much rather hobble a broke ass truck back from the badlands than wrench on a truck that was wheeled close to home at the cliffs. My eyes hurt just thinking of the mud falling in them!!

I need a shake down for the trailer and the pig.

I suspect if i drag my ass to attica again, ill camp.

If I get the dual cases done by then, I'm in. Ordered everything I need, except the 23 spline input shaft which marlin should have next week. Got my hands on a transfer case today too!

Awesome! You will love it!!!!

With these dual cases, I'll be one step closer to being highly respected among the wheeling community. One day my opinion may matter as well!

I followed you through spotters alley, and A4 last year. Made me consider an IFS swap on the 40, so yes sir you are respected, at least by me for what that is wirth. I can still picture your back bumper about 10 feet in the air as you kept dragging a big rock under the rear axle. Then pulled a camper home, "extreme side of extreme" if you ask me. Now you will be able to do it in slow motion.

Yup. He does way more with his 4runner than i did when i was on 33's/ifs/rear locker. Anyone can throw $$$$ at a vehicle and wheel the hero line, just as anyone can trailer a junkyard build and throw it at everything. But taking the dd out, wheeling the piss out of it on stock parts and driving home....that's honey badger.

I'll give you a hand with that IFS swap in the 40 :D

I just don't understand this solid axle fad thats going on right now. It'll all blow over soon.

X a billion
I like Marks comment also........"then pull a camper home"
This mentality is what got me thinking last year about selling the 40....no tow vehicle and no trailer needed.
Wheelin the crap out of your DD....automatic honey badger status!!

I always got a kick out of the trailer queens and high dollar purpose built guys looking at the fjc guys like as if they werent "hard core" enough.... it takes more stones to offer up your 30,000$ brand new dd up to the gods of carnage. The rest of us are wankers who hide behind trailers and chromoly.

Eventually IFS will be cool again!! Lets lead that wave jeremy!

John, yes i would agree, its alot more hardcore to take your DD on some hard ass trails, and successfully navigate them and drive home, than it takes to mash the skinny pedal all day on your trailer queen. Saying that i still enjy wheeling with trailer queens for the entertainment factor!

Fxxx you guys. I never claimed to be hArd. I'm soft like a muthafxxxer.

I like being comfortable driving home. I'm old and decrepit. I don't like drama on the road and I break a lot in case nobody has noticed.

I think Jeremy ought to build a Sami to tow behind the taco.

I also think you oughta pant the taco pink.
