This thread can be delete. It was sold before I could make a decision. 😭 Just wondering if I could get some thoughts on this one I’m looking at from a seller. Would like some opinions on the condition. Bit of a newbie. It’s not in the same province as me as the drive would be 2000km so need to get an opinion before making a trip if it’s worth it.
Hello, I am searching for a HJ45/H47 in un-restored condition. Patina is good if it’s not rotted out. LHD is strongly preferred. I will be needing a flatbed, but I can always swap that out if it has the original bed on it. I would prefer a later model but would look at others. I am willing to import from various countries; any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Dog_River
It is the truck in my sig line. My baby. Being self employed, the Covid situation has put me out of business. I have no choice but to put my BJ42 up for sale. BC registration. Can go to the US. Description as follows: “1980” BJ42 Lancuriser, diesel 3B engine, factory 5 speed and power steering. This is a custom build, professionally done, on the Lower Mainland of BC in approximately 2008. A 1983 Chassis was utilized along with a 1980 Body (original 1980 VIN plate, hence registered as 1980). The 1983 Chassis brought the build a solid frame in very good condition along with the factory 5 speed transmission and the factory power steering that were only installed in ’83 and newer. To eliminate the inherent rust issues these...
1982 bj 42 . Canadian 24v 15 years, 13888 miles on rebuilt 3b. Aqualu tub . Factory wheels . Trans, transfer case rebuilt by marlin Crawler. Brakes clutch , front hubs done at time of rebuild 2005-6 . Garaged since I’ve owned it never driven in winters. I did use it to plow my drive . Gages stereo etc. . HFS 4” lift. Rear seat heater, custom center console. Solar converter. Power steering. Paint chipped a bit but never driven off road. Front corner of hood needs a bit of repair . It was re done 15 years ago and could use a freshening up but nothing major . Honest truck runs well , turbo and five speed was planned but life diverted me. $28500 Call me 9144897174 if SERIOUS.
1967 FJ45 Pickup Body in Minden, Nevada
1967 FJ45 cab and parts rescued while being turned into a rockcrawler. Heavy mods to the frame and bed was shortened and narrowed (can be fixed) and front fenders cut. Thankfully the nearly rust free NV desert cab was left untouched. Because there’s not a lot of frame left I think it would be the perfect candidate to put on an FJ80 chassis, etc. I do have a Nevada title with the matching firewall tag. Priced for less than what you could get an aftermarket cab, top, etc. 6900obo fyresq@aol.com
Hello All, I'm looking at getting back into a Cruiser again. I've owned a few 80's and 70's but never a 40 series. I'm looking for a project diesel truck. I'll take an in progress project or one that is rusted out where I can replace the body with an Aqualu body. BC registration would be preferable and a solid frame a must. My goal is to build a turbo 3B, Five speed 40 series. I'm open to a whole spectrum from rusty to close complete. John and I in Southern Alberta are already talking but I have a daughter who fancies herself driving one as well so we'll see what this thread shakes loose. Thanks Dave
1980 FJ43 OBO - 37,298 km
1980 Toyota Land FJ43 - 2F - H55F 5 speed - 37,298 km This truck has been my daily driver in Austin, Texas for the past two years. I acquired it from Bogota, Colombia in 2018 a couple of years after it underwent a frame-off restoration. This was done by the 2nd, and 3rd owners sometime around 2014-2016. The two brothers had the truck painted in freeborn red, and also had the frame touched up in black. During this time an H55F 5-speed transmission was mated to the original 2F engine. With this upgrade, the truck can cruise at 65 all day, and even over 75mph if needed. The 4 wheel drive capability of this truck is unlike anything I have driven before. 1st gear, in 4-low, can climb some serious obstacles. It is also important to note that...
