Hi All - I've been a lurker for awhile and am finally ready to pull the trigger on my first rig. I am looking at an FJ43 for the extended wheelbase to give a little more room for the kids and came across this one:

It's been for sale from them before but I called and confirmed it is there. I prefer the hard top to the soft top so this fits the bill as well. I wanted to see what you all thought before I dug any deeper. It's going to be a weekend vehicle and hunting/fishing rig so doesn't need to be perfect. After much back and forth I've decided to put my 45 up for sale. When I started this build my life was much different than it is now and I haven't really touched it in over a year. It is a long story but I have had this truck for ten years and never had the time to finish the project. I had a PTO winch and a 5 speed transmission installed and that was about the extent of it. Currently registered with California plates and parked in my driveway in Castro Valley CA. Details as follows:

1984 FJ45 pickup. All original, 2F engine, 4 speed manual transmission, power steering.
Speedometer shows 250k KM, close to 155k Miles driven.
The cab and the bed are cancer free, no rust holes, only has light surface rust. The tailgate needs to be replaced or repaired.
It has Air Conditioning, all the AC parts are in it and it works.

I am reluctantly putting up for sale my Canadian spec BJ42 left hand drive Diesel Landcruiser. It has been by daily driver since importing it earlier this year, including a 800 mile round trip. My wife and I are building a house and need the funds unfortunately. It is all stock mechanically with very few modifications. I put in a front bench seat to replace the buckets. I just prefer the look. It has a bit of rust in the body in the rear quarters and wheel wells. Some repairs have been made in these areas but more are needed. Please ask for specific photos. 1981 BJ42 frame was sandblasted then hot dipped galvanized then painted and is in great condition. Gozzard fiberglass tub and windshield frame, fiberglass front fenders. Doors have some rust on them. New OME springs, new shackles and bushings. New brakes - drums, rotors, backing plates.. too many parts to list. Price dropped to $8,000 Canadian. If doesn't sell shortly am pulling ad and will complete truck and list for much more.
