I've decided I need to consolidate my stable some, so sadly the 55 is up on the block. It is a fully running 1973 with stock 1F engine, 4 inch lift and 33" pizza cutters. It also comes with an 1982 FJ60 for parts, which I'll get to in a minute. Despite some issues, this has been my daily driver for the last couple years, and is fully functional in that respect.

The included FJ60 is a vehicle bought from a friend (with title) with a tanked engine (desert mice chewed a hole in the coolant line.). Some parts have already been scavenged from it, but its purpose was to donate transmission, transfer case, and axles, power steering, and anything else useful to the 55. All of those parts are still on the 60, though the 60 front seats have been installed in the 55.

I think a reasonable price for the whole package is around [STRIKE]$5000[/STRIKE]. Dropping the price and changing options: The complete package price is now $4500. Also, if you want to buy the 55 and all 55 parts, but without the 60 parts vehicle, I'll sell that for $3500. Though I'm still open to offers.

PM me here on mud, or email me at abruzzi@gmail.com. The vehicles are located in southern New Mexico.

I should add that I am selling this because my long-distance adventure touring bike died, and I need to fund the purchase of a new one. So if you have a KTM 950 or 990 adventure; BMW 1100 or 1150 GS; or Triumph Tiger 955, 1050, or 800 that you're interested in trading, let me know. Obviously some of the bikes above are worth more than what I'm selling, so if timing is right, I will be able kick in some toward a final deal.

The good:

- running 1F engine
- SOR grey seat covers on front and rear seats
- Smittybilt center console
- Alcan spring with 4" lift.
- anti inversion shackles
- nearly new 33x9.5 BFG AT tires (5 including spare.)
- a homemade, heavy duty tow hitch.
- lots of parts to install
- lots of new rubber

The bad:

- rust. What? A 55 with rust? Actually this one is better than most 55s. Most noticeable is the driver floorboard, and a few small body holes, but not nearly as major as many I see.
- no headliner. But I have a new SOR headliner uninstalled in a box.
- bad bearing on the front output on transfer case. You could pull the T/C and fix the bearing, or you could swap in the 4 speed with T/C from the 60. (My plan)
- rear window currently out, needs fixing.

Other parts:

- new clutch in box.
- new breake kit (slave cyl, shoes, springs, etc.)

I'll take some new photos when I get a chance, but for now I'll post the ones I have which are a couple of months old. The 55 might be able to drive (slowly) to a new home, but the 60 will need a flatbed. The tires on it now are mismatched and most barely hold air.

Thanks! Still for sale.

I've had a couple people ask if the 60 could be returned to full functionality. So aside from dead engine, the following parts have been salvaged from the 60:

- Front seats.
- carb
- center console
- some seatbelts
- rims and tires are mixed.

Other than that it is a complete, minimally rusty vehicle with a clean title. There are some pics of the rust in the photobucket link above.

I also wanted to add that if you want the FJ55 without the FJ60, I'd be willing to sell the 55 for $4000. This may be more beneficial for those that would have to ship the vehicle a distance, and shipping two vehicles would be expensive.

I have always wanted a 55, and you are pretty close to me. If I didn't have my hands full with my 40 project I would be interested. GLWS.

55

Wondering if you still have this?

The title is now sorted--Motor Vehicles in Santa Fe corrected the VIN in the title and issues me a new title, so the truck is clear to sell again. I'll be responding to people who expressed an interested over the next few days.

There is a rear window, but the window and the regulator are out of the truck. I bought the replacement gears for the electric motor, but never put it together because it needs new rubber in the channel, and I hadn't gotten to that yet.
