Where do you live? USA or Canada Etc.... There is no way I have paid more than a couple of dollars for my bulbs.

I don't know where you are but 4wheelauto in Edmonton has a 24V bulb kit it's $50 and nice to have spares for all the truck as 24V are not that easy to come by sometimes.

Not wanting to steal this threat but I'm allway wondering why you guys are having so many problems to get 24V bulbs?
If I walk to the industrial area (5 mins away) there are at least 3 parts stores I can get any bulb I want be it 12 or 24 V.
Even most of the fuelling stations will carry the most common bulbs in 12 or 24 V.
Prices for 12 or 24 V are in the same range.

Is it that different at your side of the big pont?

I am in buffalo ny so I have access to canadian and US stores (canada is a 2min drive)
I was hoping for a part number to reference...

H4 type headlights
OSRAM Bilux (made in Germany)
64196
75/70W
P43t

If I find the Bosch #, I will post it. However, the OSRAMs are supposed to be a better bulb but you will pay a bit more for them.

Best thing is to take a collection of you bulbs with you for reference and buy/order 2-4 of each type. The brand and part number should be on the bulbs

The brake/tail light is wired "backwards" in Toyota's system compared to aftermarket bulbs that I have found. For the odd bulb, Toyota is a good place to go. If you're buying lots of them then go elsewhere.

Boy, what a hassle getting 24v bulbs!! I'm in Canada and I tried a few different parts stores (Napa, Carquest, Partsource, etc. etc) and none had them in stock. Napa would have sold me a box of 10 at $5 ea. Urbancarrot, where did you get yours for "a couple bucks"?!? Even regular 12v bulbs cost that much!

I saw the $50 bulb kit as well but thought that was a bit pricy.

I finally got 24V bulbs at the local Toyo dealer and bought single bulbs for bout $4 ea. Here are the Toyota part #'s. It will help because they probably won't know what they are looking for (I was there for 20 min while the parts guy trid to find he right thing).

Tail/brake light #90981-16015
Signal light #90981-16014

Cheers!

yes the 24 volt bulbs are more exspensive, ask the sales person to kiss you when you buy these (I like to be kissed while I'm getting ******, well you get the the picture) anyways the GE part number for stop / tail should be 1662, and the signal should be 1683, and they do have a different pin configuration then the 12 volt bulbs so you can't install the wrong ones.
If anyboby finds a cheap source for the 24 volt interior bulb (stock) please let us know $5 each minnimum ten bulbs! if you don't feel comfortable asking the salesperson to kiss you have them put on a mask and hold a gun to your head during the transaction!!

Cheers

I don't know why you folks are having so much trouble finding 24v bulbs. Go to any industrial supply place that deals with parts for diesel big rigs and off road equipment. You know, semi tractors, earth moving equipment, etc? It's a 24v TRUCK, not a 12v CAR.

If you want everything to be cheap go buy a Ford or Chevy truck. Quality costs a little more, but some will never understand that.

Ooops, my mistake.... I did pay more than a couple of bucks for my brake light. I go to Gregg Distrubutors in Edmonton. The brake light LIG1683 is $4.43 and signal light LIG313 is $1.17.

I agree, you should be able to find light bulbs at truck stops or semi tractors parts place.

I picked up the interior bulbs from 4Wheel Auto in Edmonton (toll free 866 468 2570). Part # 5418 Interior bulb 10w 24V $2.20

I did not have much luck finding them at semi-truck parts places.

Sometimes it costs less. I picked up some 24V 3W & 5W bulbs at Lordco for less than the cost of the 12V counterparts on the shelf.

Never had a problem getting bulbs so far. Like you said, any industrial / marine parts supplier will have a selection of 24V bulbs and relays in stock.
