I believe I found my possible issue for my brakes not working so hot these days. This is mounted to my front axle. I cannot figure out if its an aftermarket part of some sort or what it is. It doesn't seem to be OEM but was there when I got the truck.
Its mounted to the top of the front axle under the drivers side.

Can anyone chime in on what it is or where I could get a new one that doesn't leak!?

Or if you have a picture of what your axle looks like so I can see how yours looks different than mine...

Looks normal to me Josh. The brake lines come from the manifold in engine bay via frame rail to soft line #1 for movement of the axle back to hardline along the axle to soft line #2 at the caliper. That is the bottom of first soft line and beginning of hardline on axle. Might try tightening both first. Or then remove and clean. Not sure if you should use thread sealant on them but may be worth a shot. Also small chance I may have one if you need it

Also FYI where a power steering drip would be

I would do what Jason said and just take a line wrench to it and tighten them. It is OEM. If tightening does not work then take it off / and try to see if it has a crack / debris in it.

I myself would take some brake cleaner to it and then pump the brakes to see if it is actually leaking and not something above it.

Toyota describes it a "Way, Brake, Tube" - PN 47395-60050 and it looks to be around $25.

I think it's just a "T-Connector"

Hope it wasn't necessary because I got rid of it when I ran my extended brake lines. Brakes are working fine without it.

you mean, something that COULD be bolted down, is not?

that's not the land cruiser way, man.

Yeah, looks different then the older style T's on the older axles.

It would make sense to have a bleeder valve on it, becuase it looks like it would be a perfect place to catch air bubbles built up in the system...

Yeah I don't understand what the point of that thing is.

It is probably not "leaking" brake fluid. It looks like the left-overs from sloppy oil changes or a leaking power steering pump. IF it smells like gear oil then it is comming up through the threads for the bolt that holds it to the axle housing.

I know this is an old thread but just discovered mine has the bolt missing from the axle housing and it is leaking. I can't find reference to this bolt anywhere on-line and I need to buy one pronto. Anyone have an idea please?

Thanks, I finally found that number as well. The problem is this appears to be an M10x25 bolt. That seems way too long. i used a mirror and light to confirm that the bolt hole does fully perforate the housing so too long could prove disatrous. I did pump the brakes and there is no brake fluid drip at all, so likely mine is coming out of the axle housing. I bought an M10x20 and it fits, but I am afraid to tighten it all the way because I don't know how close the bolt is getting to the axle. Any idea about this?
