I'm blacking out my new black 1996 cruiser. Black rims, black trim around lights, black grill, etc... Any opinions on these replacement headlights? Quality, light output, etc...

Price of $165.00 is much cheaper than other sites offer the same light.

Does anyone have a pic of this style of headlight on a cruiser.

I searched and found some info. That is what I get for posting before doing a thorough search...

I have them on my truck, Ive had them installed for about 2 years now and put alot of miles on them. they have held up quite nice. there fit was some what questionable but might be because i have an LX. They put out decent light id say no more then stock lights but i plan to convert them to HIDs some day

I think my only concern would be the lense getting cracked or scratched up...

I'd get a clear, protective film on them for sure if I were getting them...

have them as well and converted them to HID's via Caddie Projectors and Digital Ballasts.... The fit pretty good IMO.

citadel,

question for you, did the caddie projectors fit without modding?

MSGGrunt let me know how those headlights work out. They are almost exactly what I am looking for.I am blacking out my black forest green 93. No chrome. How hard is it to get the emblems off the back. (FT4WD ect) And the guy powder coating my rims said he could do my grill. Can you powdercoat plastic?

I don't think so. They bake the item being powdercoated. The plastic would more than likely melt.

I received the lights today. They look decently made. I am very happy.

A couple of notes:

I think I will protect the lens with a plastic film.
The insides of the lights are a matte black, not glossy black.
The lights come with glossy black trim, so all that I will have to paint black is the grill itself.

I have seen on here a write-up of wiring these.... I searched and can't find it.... Any help???

I assume the black and yellow wires get tied into the factory side marker lights?
The small gauge black and red wires that light up the Halos get wired to??? Tied into the front marker lights?
The three sets of black and white wires that light up the three lower "Cat Eye" lights???
Does the three prong plug plug into the stock headlight harness???
Does the red plug on the ballast plug into the black plug that I have next to it in the below photo?

Oh... Clear marker lights will round out the project. I'm hoping all of this looks well against a black Cruiser.

Looking good!

Those ballasts are pretty dang small!!
And the crystal clear front blinker lenses would look pretty slick, I think!

I'd love to see the final outcome, including the light output and pattern.

Keep up the good work!

+ again on cutoff/output pictures.

I would be putting these on today, but the new 285/16 Cooper STTs are a priority today. I will be sure to post picks once installed. The only thing I can see that I don't care for is it looks like the design of the light that replaces the factory side light will throw light straight forward and have limited visibility from the side.

Additionally, the side marker light that came with the lights is a clear bulb that I will be replacing with an amber bulb.

did you get HID projectors from the factory in that housing? Cost? Source?

black on black cruiser!!! I like that.

The lights and the projectors came all in one. They are made in China. Pretty good quality. The weather is going to get out of the teens and into the mid to high 40's over the holidays, so maybe I will find some time to get these installed.
