I have seen several postings wherein it was mentioned that in order to keep the OEM look & feel, OEM switches were used for another purpose

A few examples:
Antenna up/down = interior winch controls
Rear Heater hi/lo = Seat heater hi/lo
Rear heater hi/lo = Dual battery override

there are probably more applications

I have also seen postings of inadvertently unspooling the winch and wondering why the antenna was not moving ?!?!?

Does anybody have a good method for relabling OEM switches?

Would there be enough consensus and enough volume that a group buy may entice a vendor to print up a sheet or two of little stickers for some of the more common applications?

By OEM if you mean Toyota even if from another application then....

* Rear window defogger switch = OBA system
* Early 4R "Rear Deck" switch = Winch disable/enable (I have no clue what the original purpose was.)
* Antenna up/down ('87 4R) = Winch in/out (Greatly simplifies wiring over the 80-Series antenna up/down switch)

For labeling I have used one of those P-Touch label makers. Look for posts by FirstToy and CruiserDan for other switch labeling options.

I used a FJ62 rear defroster switch and a FJ62 power antenna switch for my interior winch controls. To make new icons for the switches I used Photoshop and printed them out on photo paper and then glued them on the switch. They don't look half bad, and it cost < $5 for both switches and I had the photo paper already.

Kind of a bad pic, they actually look a little better than this:
