It's off my FJ60 and while taking some of the broken hose off(see red line in attached picture)a piece of the plastic where the hose attaches to from the part indicated by the green arrow, broke off.

I threw some electrical tape on it to seal it off temporarily from moisture, dirt or water from getting in to the charcoal canister, but I guess I should replace the part and put a new piece of hose on it.

Anyone know the name of the part?

IIRC outlet vent valve

I don't know the name of the part, but I know it is a solenoid valve.
Just throw some JB Weld on it.

Shouln't it have the hose connected at both end? By using JB weld are you saying to do this in the meantime I replace the item?

I don't want to keep this plug permanently, do I?

I might want to replace this part, anyone know where I could get one?

SOR doesn't seem to carry it and tough luck finding anything with the dealership.

would Cruiser Dan carry this type of part?

Thanks!

Contact blue60 on mud and see if he still has one. You could post a wanted add, or just get one from cruiserparts.net

Cool, thanks.

Someone posted the name of it, but don't know if it's right. Do you know what it's called? Just want to make sure of what I'm asking for.

SOR has them for $65. Part # 048-31A-U

It is the outer vent control valve. It is directly linked to your ignition switch, open when it's off and closed when it's on.

BTW to replace that short right angled hose, I just got a generic rubber 3/8 water hose with a right angle bend in it and cut it down to size. It worked great!

Thanks! I figured it'd have to be formed so as to not kink.
