I am going to do a repaint on my '82 and I want 4e9. The only other color I thought about was the Olive Green/Brown (FJ40) color.

Dynosoar, is yours that original 474 copper? I've never seen that one on a cruiser.

Yes, it's 474 (copper metallic). If you search using "dynosoar" you will see plenty of pictures of it.

Here is a stuck picture (poor rocker panels)

When I painted mine I used 4E9 and it was listed as an '87 color somewhere. My brothers '86 is 4E9 original.

There are several shades of beige out there. I like the 4e9 the best, it seems to be slightly darker than the others. With photos of 20+ year old cars it is hard to tell which is which color. You have a lot of variables to take into account, lighting, faded paint, camera quality, and the quality of your computer/monitor to name a few.

That and an incorrect color code chart! Looks like '85 was bad year for color options too...

Look at this link

LINK

It looks like the Older Beige is 464 and the Newer is 4E9

I like the Older one - (Tha't's my 60's original and future color.)
