i ordered my aussie locker today and expecting my custom build diamond axel housing to arrive in the the next two to three weeks so i have began the preparation to replace my existing axel with the wider axel.

my question is: what this the correct angle to point the pinion gear is it? 1. point the pinion gear directly to the transfer case, 2. make the pinion gear and transfer case same angle paralleling each other, or 3. some where in between. or any other configuration? what has been your experience in this.

i am using factory u bolt to joint the driveshaft to the pinion and transfer case or is there a better way to go? ...... thanks:bang:

and by the way i will be posting my rear axel for sale as a whole assembly with the manual locker from australia. you should see the picture on my album.

Howdy! If you are running OEM style ujoints on both ends of the driveshaft, then the transfer output shaft should be absolutely parallel with the diff pinion shaft. This keeps the angles equal in the ujoints and reduces balance/vibration problems. If you have a CV joint, it should be on the transfer end of the drive shaft. The regular ujoint at the diff end should be straight. I have read that it should be +/- 2 degrees. John
